Our Story:

At Whipperwhil Archery, we are locally owned and operated and have been creating self-bows for a better part of 30 years. A father and son duo, Whipperwil makes all of our bows custom to your specifications.

Our bows and arrows are made the same way they have been for thousands of years, with natural, environmentally friendly tools.

Bow Making Process:

At Whipperwhil our bow making process is to split up logs and air dry our woods to make the right moisture content. Then we use hand tools to make our bows and arrows. We don’t use power tools because we like to go with the natural growth of the tree.

All of our bows are custom to fit the person we are making them for so that they fit their draw length and the poundage that they want.

Our Arrow shafts are also made with hand plows and have reinforced nocks with hardwood. They are matched to the spine of the arrow which fits the bow they are made for.

We also make leather quivers (Front & Back) and arm guards.
